Who We Are
The Swedish Covenant Hospital Associates’ Board, launched in 2002, consists of adults in their 20s and 30s who want to make a difference in the Andersonville and Lincoln Square neighborhoods. This dynamic group raises funds, increases public awareness and performs community service on behalf of Swedish Covenant Hospital.
The Associates’ Board has already accomplished a number of initiatives, such as completing its recent pledge of $25,000 for the Healing Garden and $3,000 to the library, both located at the hospital. The Healing Garden provides a natural and inviting habitat for healing and meditation for both patients and visitors. The library provides helpful and educational resources to medical staff, patients and the community. The Associates’ Board has also raised notable funds to support a student health clinic at Roosevelt High School.

Public Awareness
Associates’ Board members periodically help Swedish Covenant Hospital with events both within and outside of the hospital campus. This gives us a chance to talk to the public about the hospital and explain how our board contributes to its mission.
Community Service
Giving back to the community is the third facet of our mission. The Associates’ Board has made contributions to Budlong Elementary School, helped out a local soup kitchen and assisted other nearby groups in need of helping hands. We are always looking for ways to help out Chicago and the surrounding area of the hospital.
Give us a try
If you’ve been searching for a way to volunteer in Chicago but find that your time is limited, come check us out at one of our monthly meetings. We typically meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Pavilion on the Swedish Covenant Hospital campus. We’ll give you more information about the board, our upcoming events and answer any questions you have about becoming a member.
